The Pharos Project, is a user-friendly materials evaluation tool that strives to be transparent, comprehensive, independent, accurate and fair. Pharos is the only open-source materials evaluation system. No other system promises a greater array of tools to separate fact from opinion, weigh independently verified data against uncorroborated estimates, and distinguish signal issues from distracting side issues. The first phase of the project just opened. It is built upon the platform of the open source collaboration that I think you are familiar with called Wikipedia. The Pharos Wiki has the potential to become a free encyclopedia of green building information built collaboratively by the green building community. Like Wikipedia, its success depends upon the support and participation of the green building community. I am excited about this new tool, and thought that you would like to get involved as well.
